Archery Match Information
When are regular matches held?
Local Matches are the 4th Saturday each month, except in November and December which are held the 1st Saturdays to accommodate Thanksgiving and Christmas. NFAA National Competition schedule is TBD by NFAA and will be posted when it is received.
What are the Match Fees?
CFRPC member - $5
Non-member - $10
Juniors or youth under 12 - Free
What time does the match begin?
Registration opens at 9:30 AM and the match begins at 10:00 AM.
How long does the match last?
A match will usually last about four hours, until 2:00 PM. Sometimes we stay and practice until 3:00 PM. When the match ends in the afternoon, the range returns to normal use for members and their guests.
How many arrows do I need?
Local matches will typically require four arrows. We NEVER use broadheads, either mechanical or fixed, during practice or competition. They cut the targets too quickly and are dangerous. Please bring only field pointed arrows for competition or practice. After the teams have left, if everything is finished, you may use broadheads on your own targets for your own practice.
You may shoot crossbows, longbows, recurves, compounds, etc. If it is a bow, you may bring it. Be prepared to lose one or two in the grass; we usually help one another search for lost arrows. We normally shoot 20 rounds over 4 or 5 lanes with a lunch break halfway through near noon.
What else do I need?
We suggest bringing your own food and drinks, especially water during the hot summer season.
