The Central Florida Rifle
& Pistol Club is a 100% NRA member organization. |
Prospective members must:
- Attend
a Club meeting at 8:00 P.M. on the first Monday of the month.
Potential members will be asked to introduce themselves,
describe
the shooting discipline they like and explain why they wish
to
join the Club.
- Potential members will be assigned a time
and date for a required orientation class.
- At the orientation class, each potential
member will:
- Complete a membership application form and pay a
$80.00 non-refundable application fee.
- Participate
in a training course ensuring familiarization with all club
rules
(emphasis on Safety) and receive a copy of the club's rules.
- Actually
participate in firing from the firing line, where the target setup,
range commands and safety procedures are demonstrated and
experienced.
- Tour the six ranges, receiving an explanation of the
specific requirements for each range.
- Become a Probationary Member, receiving a
Probationary Membership Card and Number.
- A
Probationary Member can return to the range when a
Range Safety Officer is on duty and obtain the required
signatures on the application. Probationary Members may not
bring shooting guests with them.
- The
Probationary Member will submit the fully completed application
including RSO signatures to the Vice-President at the next
monthly meeting. If satisfactorily completed, the
membership will vote on the acceptance of the Probationary member as a
full member.
- New members must pay one year's
dues at the end of the meeting and provide either proof of
NRA membership or a completed NRA membership application with
payment.
