PLEASE USE THIS AS A CHECKLIST:
  1. Attend a regular membership meeting.  Dates and times for regular membership meetings are listed on the Club’s website, www.cfrpc.com.  They are usually on the first Monday of the month at 20:00.  Please arrive 15 minutes early.
  2. Attend an orientation briefing.  Dates and times for orientation are listed on the Club’s website, www.cfrpc.com.
  3. Bring the following to orientation:
    1. Eye protection;
    2. Hearing protection;
    3. A suitable firearm for each range (50m, 100m, 300m, and/or shotgun) on which you would like to qualify; and
    4. 5-10 rounds of ammunition to be fired on each range on which you would like to qualify.  If you would like to qualify on the shotgun range, you will need shells with 7½  shot or smaller (e.g. 7½, 8, or 9).
  4. You must submit proof of your membership in the National Rifle Association, either at orientation or, at the latest, at the next regular membership meeting.  For membership in this Club, there are only two acceptable forms of proof of NRA membership:
    1. A cover from a recent edition of your NRA magazine (newer than two months old)  indicating your name, address and membership status is acceptable proof of your NRA  membership.  Tear off the entire front cover for submission to the Club.  If you don’t want to destroy your magazine, you can photocopy the entire front cover for submission to the Club.
OR
  1. Go to NRA Member Services Online (www.nramemberservices.org), log in (or register if you have never logged in before), and print the “View Your Membership” page for submission to the Club.  Make sure that both the “Name and Address” section and the “Membership Information” section print out.
Please note, Life Memberships are not always permanent, and your NRA membership card is NOT adequate proof your NRA membership.  IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PROOF OF NRA MEMBERSHIP IN ONE OF THE FORMS LISTED ABOVE YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO JOIN THE CLUB.
  1. At orientation, you must complete and sign the membership application.  Please print clearly and legibly.  If we can’t read your writing, you can’t join the Club.
  2. At orientation, you must pay an application fee of $80.  A check or money order should be made payable to “CFRPC.”  Cash is acceptable ONLY if you have exactly $80 - change is not available.  Spouse member applicants DO NOT have to pay the application fee.
  3. At orientation, you will be required to demonstrate that you can safely place targets and shoot on the 50m range.  You will also have the opportunity to qualify on the 100m, 300m, and/or shotgun ranges, if you have brought suitable firearms and ammunition.  However, if you intend to shoot on the 100m or 300m ranges, your firearm must be sighted in BEFORE you come to orientation.  Bore sighting is NOT acceptable.  If your firearm has not been properly sighted in, you will not be permitted to shoot that firearm at orientation.
  4. After the day of your orientation, you must come to the Club on two additional dates to obtain the signatures from RSOs who observe you safely shoot on the ranges on which you would like to qualify.  The RSO signatures must indicate that you were observed on three different dates: the date of your orientation and two other dates.  The same RSO can sign your form on more than one occasion if he or she observed you placing targets and shooting on different dates.  That is, you don’t need to be observed by three different RSOs; you DO need to be observed on THREE DIFFERENT DAYS.  The RSO schedule is posted on the Club’s website, www.cfrpc.com.
  5. After you have completed orientation and you have had your paperwork signed by RSOs on two other occasions, you must attend the next regular membership meeting, and bring all of the required paperwork.  You must be at the meeting by 19:00.  You must bring:
    1. Yellow copy of the Club application form, with 3 RSO signatures (each on a different date);
    2. Proof of NRA membership as set forth in paragraph 3, above, if you did not already submit the same at orientation; and
    3. Final Payment: $194 for regular membership, $149 for spouse membership, $134 for reinstatement of expired regular membership or $89 for reinstatement of expired spouse membership.  A check or money order should be made payable to “CFRPC.”  Cash is acceptable ONLY if you have the exact amount - change is not available.
