High Power Rifle Match Info

When are regular matches held?

Click here to download a complete match schedule for 2013.  Monthly matches are held as follows:

    • 1st Saturday:  Usually an XTC Match, rotates between CMP Service Rifle, CMP Vintage Rifle, NRA 80XTC, and Sporting Rifle
    • 4th Saturday:  NRA Mid-Range & F-Class Prone Match
    • "Following" Sunday (always the Sunday following the 4th Saturday):  Rotates between all types of High Power matches; see Schedule or Calendar for details        

What are the match fees?

CFRPC Members - $10

Non-members - $15

What time does the match begin?

All matches register at 8:00 AM and fire at 9:00 AM.  All matches take place on the 300 meter range.

How long does the match usually last?

The XTC and Mid-Range matches are usually over by 1:00 PM, though they may run long depending on the number of shooters and relays.  The Vintage and Sporting Rifle matches are usually finished by noon.

How much ammunition do I need?

XTC (Across the Course) Matches:  58 or 88 rounds depending on the course of fire, published on the schedule as "NRA 50 Shot" or "NRA 80 Shot".  These are NRA Sanctioned Matches.

Mid-Range Prone:  69 rounds, NRA sanctioned match.

Vintage Rifle:  55 rounds, CMP approved match.

Sporting Rifle:  40 rounds, NRA sanctioned match.
