You do not need to participate in matches to enjoy the sport with us at CFRPC. Our archery range is open the same hours as the rest of the range, but reserved for matches on those occasions. Range membership and an archery range qualification allows use of the archery field anytime the range is open. For local 4th Saturday matches, just show up, register for the match with the appropriate fee, fill out a waiver if you are a guest/non-member, then pick up a score card and pen. If you feel like helping out, we currently use our own block and 3-D targets and pin standardized NFAA target faces to the blocks for scoring. So you may bring your own block, but be aware all of the rest of the participants will be using it during the match. (3-D targets have rings on them we use for scoring.)
For Regional/National competitions sanctioned by the NFAA, we plan to purchase competition standard targets when the Discipline has raised enough money through its local matches or donations. Until then we will use the standardized scoring faces pinned to blocks brought by participants.
Please note that you do not need NFAA membership to participage in local CFRPC Club matches on 4th Saturdays. However, NFAA membership is required for State, Regional and National match competitions.
Future range improvement plans include an elevated stand for practicing from tree-stand heights, formal instruction for competition, and classes on tree stand use and hunter safety.
Feel free to call or leave messages at one of the two telephone numbers listed for Mr. Ken Geis or Mr. Mike Anker on the Archery Contact page. Mike is also a certified archery instructor. We both work and sometimes travel but will reply as soon as we get the opportunity. Or you can also use our email addresses on the Contact page.
