How long does the match last?

A regular monthly match will usually last about four hours, until 2:00 PM.  Sometimes we stay and practice until 3:00 PM.  When the match ends in the afternoon, the range returns to normal use for members and their guests.

A 600 League match takes about 2 hours to shoot.

How many arrows do I need?

Regular matches will typically require four arrows.  We NEVER use broadheads, either mechanical or fixed, during practice or competition.  They cut the targets too quickly and are dangerous.  Please bring only field pointed arrows for competition or practice.  After the teams have left, when everything is finished, you may use broadheads on your own targets for your own practice.

You may shoot crossbows, longbows, recurves, compounds, etc.  If it is a bow, you may bring it.  Be prepared to lose one or two in the grass; we usually help one another search for lost arrows.  We normally shoot 20 rounds over 4 or 5 lanes with a lunch break halfway through near noon.

5 arrows are required for the 600 League. However, bring a few extra arrows in case you miss the targets. We do not stop to look for arrows during a match.

What else do I need?

We suggest bringing your own food and drinks, especially water during the hot summer season.
