The CFR&PC Junior Precision Shooting Program offers training and practice in target rifle and pistol shooting using the Winchester/National Rifle Association Marksmanship Qualification Program.  This program is consistent with the kinds of competition used in NRA and USA Shooting matches, in NCAA competition, and in the Olympic Rifle and Pistol events.  It is open to all young shooters ages 10-20 regardless of experience.  For information on requirements, membership and fees, and resources, download the brochure.

Objectives

  • To teach safe handling of firearms and safe shooting habits.
  • To provide an introduction to the sports of target shooting.
  • To encourage our members to get involved in shooting competition.
  • To have fun while doing those things.

How to Join

We provide the equipment needed to start in the sport, and we fit individual athletes to specific equipment.  We have a waiting list for the equipment.  To get on the waiting list, come out to the range on any Saturday morning between 8AM and 12PM, or contact one of the coaches below.

Junior Coaches

The Junior Club is supervised by NRA/USAS/CMP Coaches and NRA Certified Instructors who donate their time and expertise to provide for high quality instruction and careful supervision of the Juniors' activities.
